Butch, our dog did the impossible, and rock climbed with us thousands of feet upwards ! It was a beautiful outside, and all the hikers were surprised
to see a dog that climbed like a mountain goat. Yay Butchie!

Hiking up Mount Beacon on Easter

We did a nice jog up the mountain after a unhealthy meal ! It was beautiful outside. The wind was blowing through my hair and I felt so alive. We even saw a huge hawk and a nest that looked fit for a dinosaur.

Christmas Pets and Decorations !

Every year I like to make snowflakes and hang them from the ceiling. It sure does get anyone in the Christmas spirit !

I love feeding the blue jays and seeing them come to my porch during the winter 🙂

He stood very still as I put funny Christmas hats on him today. Although, he doesn’t have a very excited look.

Guinea pigs love to eat

I left a whole head of lettuce in their cage, and all 3 ate it in under 5 minutes. They sure do love treats ! I also recently bought a brush to brush them. Peachy; the panda bear one, purrs loudly when I brush her back.

Hiking Breakneck Mountain

Back in September my sister and I hiked up this mountain in Cold Spring. It was beautiful but dangerously steep. You could literally break your neck if you weren’t careful with gripping the rocks.

Truly the most beautiful time of the year

I love the energy of nature and the Earth during the fall. There’s always something to look forward to in the fall. Whether it’s a simple walk through the crisp sweet smelling air, to the fun upcoming Halloween Events. Here my dog Ginger loves to watch the neighbors rake leaves. My husband saw the ground covered in colorful piles of leaves and wanted to pose in front of his car.

Beautiful Autumn Morning

I found Arnie running about in piles of the colorful leaves so I decided to scoop him up and put him around my neck as a scarf. Animals love the fall, their often so playful and full of energy. I took one of the leaves and made a game of catching it in front of his face.

Pumpkin Patch Created by Guinea Pigs

So lately I’ve been dumping my guinea pigs’ cage wastes of poop, seeds and hay in the backyard woods. Suddenly I saw a patch of sprawling spiral vines, big leaves, and pumpkins growing from them. I was so excited and shocked that by not doing anything but dumping the piggies’ wastes was the perfect fertilizer. Their food had all kinds of seeds in it as well. I just picked these recently. My question is, are these pumpkins that needed to ripen, or a kind of squash?

Stonykill Farm Octoberfest

My husband and I went to this cute festival that brought out the autumn spirit. We bought two baskets there and homemade squash soup. My cat loves the basket and it is now his new bed. Cats love to curl up and snuggle themselves in small places !
